The Holiday Handmade Cavalcade is over. It was a lot of fun, I met new people and had good sales! So time for a new blog post.
This year, I discovered a new band from Norway called Katzenjammer. The band’s four members are Solveig Heilo (Thanks Bob), Anne Marit Bergheim, Turid Jorgensen, and Marianne Sveen and their music combines a mixture of circus music, rock, blue grass and shanty music. Their music is exciting and totally danceable.
Between the four of them they play 29 instruments including Tom Tom, Trash Can, Accordian, Piano, Tack Piano, Vibraphone, Trumpet, Zitar, Mellotron, Horn, Tube, Domra, Pump Organ, Melodica, Harmonica, Banjo, Glockenspiel, Pipe Organ, Cookie Boxes, Guitar, Ukelele, Kazoo, Music Box, Contrabass Balalka, Barrel Organ, Cymbols, Drums, Trumpet, Violin and Cello.
So why am I writing about them on a craft blog? Because these amazing ladies make beautiful things while touring. Check out this cute kid’s jumper
or these wrist warmers
You can listen to their music on their myspace page or better for them, buy it from Lala or itunes. And here is a video for you to get you into the mood.

For the record, it’s Solveig Heilo. From a fan.
I will have to check them out! Glad to hear the show was a success. I hope you’re taking a well-deserved break now!
